Girl Country

Country music gets hate for being all about girls, trucks, sex and beer, but everyone forgets about girl country. I'd consider girl country a completely different genre, representing relationships, women's empowerment and a reflection of life in an incredibly meaningful way. I recommend starting with the older artists, such as Dolly Parton, to develop a deeper appreciation for the genre's soft melodies and lyrical genius.
